Youth Involvement

Cancer Council’s Relay For Life presents an upbeat, energetic and compassionate environment for youth of all ages to work together towards a cancer free future.

With 1 in 5 being touched by the affects of cancer, Relay For Life is an incredible event where people of all ages come together, we celebrate with family and friends who have survived cancer and remember those that we have lost.

Through Relay For Life the youth of our communities have a wonderful opportunity to band together to fight back and make a difference. Together, young and old, we will beat this disease!

If you are under 18 you can participate as part of any team. Simply join a team by registering online as an Under 18 participant. Please note: Participants under the age of 18 are required to have parent or guardian read and accept waiver on their behalf.

Some States and Territories also allow youth teams, where an under 18 year old can register as a team captain and is responsible for recruiting the rest of the team. The State and Territories that offer youth teams are:

Please note: All youth (under 18’s) teams require 2 supervisors to be in attendance at the event at all times. Please download the attached form for your supervisors to complete and forward to your local Cancer Council office.
